As a journalist I strive to bridge the gap between academia and practical knowledge. I write to inform the public on global issues including food and water security and sustainability in agriculture.

From the prairies of Saskatchewan to the peaks of British Columbia, I am most comfortable while outdoors. I find inspiration in forests, on trails and rock walls, where science and art intersect.
